This watercolor painting measures12' h x 9" wdie and was paintined from a photo I took ona. visit to Dorthea Dix Park's Sunflower Fiels in July 2023. Every year the City plants a glorious filed of sundflowers whihc bloom in the heat of the summer in North Carolina. This year I decided to skip painting in Plein Air in favor of returning to the studio to capture the colors more accurately and not sweat so much!
